Tool of all trades
There's tools and then there's tools. And after that, there's tools, and there's duct tape. Duct tape is a cloth-based adhesive band made to be easily torn by shearing force (to be able to tear it by hand) but able to sustain a very high amount of other beatings before giving way. It is also impermeable, and its adhesive is a very good sealant. Read more about it from the experts.
I got a few raised eyebrows from people here at college regarding the large roll of duct tape I brought with me, but I really don't understand why. I mean, even Apollo 17 used duct tape!
And, use duct tape I did: for my PVC swords, for a mount for my speakers on the side of my desk, for building myself various tools, and most recently, for fixing up the decaying state of my laptop:

Its corner was coming apart a little, some plastic was popping out, and the "silver" edges were losing their silver paint in favor of the boring plastic color underneath. Also, the shiny "P" in the XPS logo fell off, and everything just looked in a very bad way. Now, it just looks epic.
... That will be all I think. I may have intended this to be a deeper and more meaningful post, but that's all that you, my dear reader, will get: a spurious blurt of random stuff that's going through my mind instead of studying for my exams.
I AGREE! Duct tape is the master of life. And your comp looks so cool.
